Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are old friends of Hamlet, sent by the king Claudio to spy on him because of his erratic behaviour. By the time, Hamlet was wondering if his father's ghost had actually shown up before him to reveal the truth about his murder and get Hamlet to avenge him.
