Allen traveled for 7 hours at a constant rate of 40 miles per hour. Anna traveled the same distance at a constant rate of 50 miles per hour.

How long did it take Anna to travel the same distance as Allen?

Put the steps in the correct order to solve the problem.

Steps are:

Set up. 7(40)=x(50)

Identify. Anna's time is the unknown

Check. 7(40)=5.6(50)

Strategize. Let x=Anna's time.

Solve. x=5.6

Actually, no. it's not what he says. Here's the correct order:

Identify - 1

Strategize - 2

Set-up - 3

Solve - 4

Check - 5

The first step is to set up the problem. The second step is to strategize. The third step is to identify. The fourth step is to solve. Then the final step is to check your work. How I got it is by setting it up, then strategize, next I identified Anna's time, then I solved to get 5.6, and the final thing I did was check my work to see if it is correct.Does that help you Blueberry1838?
