Historians used to study how individuals lived in the ancient times with the help of archaeological sources such as artifacts, burials, and remains. Archaeology is the study of societies who lived in the past. It looks for exemplars in the artifacts which help to obtain clues about their origins. Like archaeologists, historians used to study from clothes, coins to artwork and monuments. However, Archaeologist relies even more on written evidences which are also considered as primary records such as official reports, newspapers, books.
