Karim's dog = 15 pounds
Frank dog = 2x more pounds than Karim's dog + 1.5 pounds

(Karim) Equation 1: 15 = Frank
(Frank) Equation 2: 2w + 1.5

joining equation 1 and 2

15 = 2w + 1.5

Solve

15 - 1.5 = 2w
13.5 = 2w ÷ 2
w = 6.75
