The estimated world population is 7 times 10 to the 9th power. Of the total population 682 million of those people are lefties. About what percentage of the world are lefties?

The Atlantic Ocean contains about 2 times 10 to the 16th power gallons of water. Lake Ontario contains 8,000,000,000,000 gallons of water. About how many Lake Ontarios would it take to fill the Atlantic Ocean?

1) 682,000, 000 ~ 700, 000, 000 = 7 * 10^8

7 * 10^8 / 7 * 10^9

7 / 7 * 10^8 / 10^9

1 * 1 / 10

Answer ======> 1 / 10

2): 8,000,000,000,000 = 8 * 10^12

Lake Ontario / Atlantic Ocean

2 * 10^16 / 8 * 10^12 = 2 / 8 * 10^16 / 10^12

1 / 4 * 10^4

0.25 * 10^4

Answer =====> 2,500

Therefore, Answer: It will take 2,500 Lake Ontario's to fill the Atlantic Ocean.
