The Primeval history is the name given to scholars to the first eleven chapters of the Book of Genesis, as it is the story of the first years of the World’s history.
In it, Adam and Eve are identified as the first humans to be created. Adam is created to the likeness of God, and Eve is created from Adam’s rib as his companion.
The couple are unique among all creation because they are to be the caretakers of everything that has been created.
