In at least 2 paragraphs of at least 4 sentences each, explain several key characteristics of knights as outlined in the lessons so far in the unit and how they relate to how you’ve always viewed knights. Then consider King Arthur. How does he measure up to these ideas about knights?

Knights were mounted soldiers and gentlemen who served a sovereign in armor. Characteristics of knights include benevolence, generosity, braveness and fidelity. Besides, they were sacrificed and well-mannered towards women. Such description relates precisely to the idea I had about them.

As regards King Arthur, his code of chivalry to qualify for a place at the Round Table involved honor, goodwill and courtesy to women. It also included not to hurt women or kill anyone. Furthermore, he demanded that knights fight only in the name of God or the nation. Finally, he asked knights not to carry out any act of disloyalty against the king or the country.
