The answer is $230, how I got my answer.

I multiplied $5×40=$200
then I multiplied$6×5=$30
then I added $200+$30=$230.

I hope this helps.

Answer:

$230

Explanation:

Jim earns regular hourly rate of $5 and premium hourly rate of $6.

He worked 45 hours last week.

His regular working hours = 40 hours

His premium working hours = 45 - 40 = 5 hours

His gross pay = (40 × $5) + (5 × $6)

= $200 + $30

= $230

His gross pay is $230 for the week.
