Ashley's perspective on class is an example of "Standpoint".

It is a set of convictions and thoughts, values from which attitudes and choices are framed. In simple words standpoint is the point or place at which a man stands to see something. The psychological position, demeanor, etc. from which a man perspectives and judges things, for instance from the legal adviser's standpoint, her customer is correct.
