How many moles of c atoms are in 1 mol of sucrose (c12h22o11)?

Use dimensional analysis to solve problems like these.

1 mol C12H22O11 * 12 mol C atoms / 1 mol C12H22O11 = 12 mol of C atoms

Alternatively, you can also think of Sucrose as a molecule with 12 atoms of Carbon, 22 atoms of Hydrogen, and 11 atoms of Oxygen. Each of the atoms represent one mole and since you have 12 Carbon atoms, it would equal to 12 moles of Carbon atoms.
