A line has a slope of 1 passes through the point (10,6) what is the slope - intercept form?

  • Slope-Intercept Form: y = mx + b, with m = slope and b = y-intercept

Since we have a slope and point, put the slope into the m variable and (10,6) into the x and y placeholders to solve for b as such:


6=10+b\\-4=b

Putting your equation together, your slope-intercept form is y = x - 4.
