Multiply the numerators together. Multiply the denominators together. Then reduce if necessary.

(first~numerator)/(first~denominator) * (second~numerator)/(second~denominator) = ((first~numerator)*(second~numerator))/((first~denominator)*(second~denominator))

(a)/(b) * (c)/(d) = (a * c)/(b * d)

(5)/(6) * (1)/(2) = (5 * 1)/(6 * 2) = (5)/(12)

The answer is 5/12, because 5*1 =5 and 6*2 = 12, Which gives you 5/12.
