Janice's mother gave her ten-dollar bill to buy five pounds each bananas and apples at the grocery store. When she got there she found out that bananas were 80 cents per pound and apples were $1.40 per pound. Did Janice's mother give her enough money? If so, should she receive any change?

Buying apples and bananas with $10

5 pounds of bananas so

5 x .80 = $4

5 pounds of apples so

5 x 1.40 = $7

$7 + $4 = $11

she only has $10

$11 - $10 = - 1,00

so no. she will not recieve any change because she doesnt havew enough money
