Mrs. watson will often make herself sick by eating bad food so she will have a reason to spend time with doctors and get their attention. to which group of disorders does this behavior belong?

The answer is Factitious Disorder. This disorder is when people pretends or acts as if they have a mental or physical illness, when in reality, they are purposely causing and creating the symptoms. They do this for sympathy and to get special attention.

This term is used to describe the exaggeration or falsification of an illness. Mrs. Watson conduct may be related to a type of factitious disorder known as Munchausen syndrome, a condition in which a person deliberately produces or forges symptoms to lavish attention for themselves.
