The Alzheimer's disease can be defined as a neurological disorder in which the memory of the person along with his cognitive abilities is compromised. The brain cells of the affected person starts dying. Because the person with Alzheimer's diseases have poor memory and learning abilities, the levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine will be too little in their brain. Acetylcholine is important for processing memory and learning new information. The onset of Alzheimer's will decrease its amount in the brain.

Hence, the blanks can be filled with 'Little' and 'acetylcholine' respectively.
