How do hurricanes cause land loss?

Hurricanes generate strong winds that can spin so fast that it hits the root underground and picks it up and diminishes it which also leaves The last of land because there are no leaves or green grassland

They can destroy many man made things and weather away many things if the rain is hard enough. Not 100% sure but i think that’s close to it
