Solving inequalities is much like solving an equation. Meaning you use the same inverse operations. Addition and Subtraction undo one another. Multiplication and Division undo one another.

Consider this problem:

-2x< 6.

Our inverse operation would be to divide by -2 on EACH side, but we would also have to ____________ the inequality sign.

Flip the inequality sigh, always flip when you divide by a negative number
