Simplifying
52 + 8x + -48 = 15x + 13
Reorder the terms:
52 + -48 + 8x = 15x + 13
Combine like terms: 52 + -48 = 4
4 + 8x = 15x + 13
Reorder the terms:
4 + 8x = 13 + 15x
Solving
4 + 8x = 13 + 15x

First we move the term: 8x - 15x = 6 - 48
-7x = -42
Divide both sides by -7
x = 6
