How might the mass media in modern life help make democracy an achievable form of government?

I believe the answer is: By making it easier for government officials to communicate with the citizens.

Democracy is a system that gives the people with most control within the government. Through mass media, it is much more easier for government to directly speak with the people and conducted some sort of poll to find out the type of legislation that preferred by the majority of the people.
