Motorcyclist Travels: ====> 425 miles

Gasoline Usage: =========> 5.2 Gallons



Find Gasoline Consumption in MPG:

Divide:

425 / 5.2

= 81.73 ======> (Decimal: 81.7 MPG )

Answer ===========> 81.7 MPG, Gasoline Consumption.

To find the answer, we simply divide the total distance by total gas comsumption:

425 / 5.2 = 81.7307...

Because we only have to round to one decimal place, the mileage should be 81.7 miles per gallon.
