Evaluate the following expression for y = 8 and z = 3 (y-z)^2 + z

  1. (8-3)^2+3, which totals out to be 28, because 8-3 is 5, and when you square 5 it leaves it to 25 then you add 3 to get 28.
  2. the square root of 49 is 7.

√49 = 7 (simplify)

7²=49

hence √49=7.
