What made Germany's invasions of Europe difficult to stop during World War II

The blitzkrieg tactics, paratroopers, better tanks, outdated french army, the allies attempts at negotiations (basically give Germany what they wanted as long as they promised not to invade anymore), the fact that the Maginot line didn't extend across the entire French border, only the German part, so Germany just went around it and surrounded all the French defenders
