The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a fitting memorial to President Kennedy for it became law less than a year after President John F. kennedy’s assassination.

Moreover, this law has the longest filibuster in the U.S Senate history for it created modern America where legal equality for blacks and whites was imposed.
