A shopkeeper had 15m cloth. He sold 2/5 part of it to a customer and 1/3 part of it to another. How much cloth is left with him now?

The amount sold is 2/5 plus 1/3 of the whole. This comes to 6/15 plus 5/15 of the whole, or 11/15 of the whole. Thus, the shopkeeper still has 4/15 of the whole roll of cloth left.
