Why is it important to study history? List several reasons

Below are some of the reasons of learning/studying history:

  • To understand the events that occurred for a reason.
  • To know that how everything emerged? World, mountains, people etc.
  • One must also learn about the mistakes and flaws that our past generation did, and in order to not repeat them in future, i is important to study.
  • To Follow the past achievements and carry them forward.
  • For future development/prediction it s mandatory to see the past trends so that steps can be taken accordingly.

History is important to study so that we can learn how/why we got where we are as a species, and to learn from the mistakes our ancestors made so that we can better ourselves as a society.
