Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals A piece of marble would not change dramatically over a period of several years. Sometimes the term weathered might be used when referring to marble. If we think of The Pieta, which is a beautiful white marble, we know that it has changed very little (also, I believe) it is kept indoors. An earthquake, or someone with bad intentions might bring harm to a piece of marble. Other than the above I don't think a piece of marble will change too much, even if it is 100, 200, or 10,000 years old! hope this helps you
