The square root of 3 would be:
√(x) 3 I hope that works or you can see it but, you are going to square root the 3 and it will give you 1.73205 etc. and so on.

A rational number can be written as a FRACTION

An irrational number is written as a decimal.

So this would be an irrational number.

To the tenths you would round the tenths spot to the next number if the 100ths number were larger. But its not so you wouldn't change it.

ones. tenths hundredths thousands

1.7 should be your answer
