Isolate the x. First, multiply 2 to both sides

-x/2(2) < 4(2)

-x < 4(2)

-x < 8

Isolate the x. Divide - 1 to both sides (because you are dividing a negative number, flip the sign).

-x/ -1 < 8/-1

x > -8 is your answer

hope this helps
