x = y - 3
2x + y = 12

Please help I have been trying to figure this out and I can't.

A : x = y - 3
B : 2x + y = 12

from A to B

2(y-3) + y = 12
2y - 6 + y = 12
3y = 18
y = 6

y = 6 to A

x = y - 3
x =6 -3
x=3
