What is the value of x/2+3x-y when x=8 and y = -2 A -12 B -6 C 26 D30

Help me ASAP I pick C and got and F this my last attempt help me some one Idk what I did wrong

First, plug in your X and Y

(8)/2 + 3(8) - (-2)

4 + 24 + 2

Answer is D. 30

I believe you forgot the -(-2) part and just put a -2. This is what made your original answer 26, which was wrong. When subtracting a negative number, it becomes positive.
