This question can be pretty controversial and based on opinion. I would say inventions are realized through perspiration because sometimes, for me especially, I find inspiration in hard work. Some may argue that you can't be inventive without inspiration first, but you also can't have an invention through inspiration only. This is also a very idealistic question. It isn't necessarily one or the other. One can realize inventions through both inspiration and perspiration.
