Why is punctuation so important?

Because it helps show when your sentence has ended and what type of tone is in the sentence such as a question mark means that the sentence is asked in the form of a question or in confusion

Punctuation is important in grammar because it lets your audience know what you're saying like for example: My dog can't sit

Without a period it looks likes the sentence is incomplete, but if u put a period there it shows completion.
