What happens to the protein of the cell membrane that surrounds a large molecule during endocytosis?

When we say endocytosis, this is one of the cellular processes wherein the cell absorbs substances from the outside by invaginating the cell membrane. In this case, what happens to that part of the cell membrane that wraps around a large molecule during this process is that it separates from the membrane. The answer would be it separates from the membrane
