Angles A and B are identical, so 34 degrees = x - 5 degrees.

The sum of the interior angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees, and therefore

34 + 34 + 4y = 180, or 68 + 4y = 180, or 4y = 112, or y = 28.

The measure of y is 28.
