well land features, it is an island so the trade flourishes very well.
water features, the water is very salty so the water is clear, so it was easy to see if you were about to crash into a rock that was underwater but can still do damage to the ship,
climate, it is a high temperature over there so it does rain a lot but it wouldn't affect trade as much
