Which statement about the radius of a sphere is true?

The radius is a chord from one point on the surface of the sphere to another point on the surface of the sphere.
The radius is a three-dimensional circle in which all points are equidistant from a fixed point.
The radius is a line segment from the center point to the surface of the sphere.
The radius is created from a plane that passes through the center of the sphere.

All options here, except for the third, make little or no sense. But the third, stating that "The radius is a line segment from the center point to the surface of the sphere" is perfect. Note that in 2 dimensional geometry it'd be "The radius is a line segment from the center point to the rim of the circle."

Answer:

The statement that is true about the radius of a sphere is:

The radius is a line segment from the center point to the surface of the sphere.

Explanation:

We know that the radius of a circle/sphere is a line segment that joins the center of circle/sphere to any point on the circumference/ surface of the circle/sphere.

Also, in a circle the radius is the length such that each point on the circumference are equidistant from the center of the circle.
