From the vertex (-5,-2) we know

`y= a (x + 5)^2 -2`

We solve for a by substituing our other point, (-4,2),

`2 = a(-4+5)^2 - 2`

`4 = a`

a=4 is our answer but we can multiply this out if we care to.

`y = 4(x+5)^2 -2 = 4(x^2 + 10x + 25) -2 = 4x^2 + 40x +98`
