You know that 1 km=1000 m, then the length of the road
(4)/(5) km is
(1000)/(5) \cdot 4=200\cdot 4=800 metres.

A group of 8 people are picking up litter along the road and each person is assigned an equal section of the road. The whole road has length 800 m, then for each person will be assigned 800:8=100 m of the road.

If you want to know the length of each part in km, then 1 m=0.001 km and 100 m =1 m·100=0.001 km ·100=0.1 km.
