The Europeans had sicknesses that the Native Americans were not exposed to so they died rapidly. They also used the Native Americans as slaves, but since they are dying the Europeans took slaves from Africa. But not all of it is bad because there was the Columbian Exchange took place and North America, South America, Africa, and Europe all took place in the trade.

Native peoples of America had no immunity to the diseases that European explorers and colonists brought with them. Diseases such as smallpox, influenza, measles, and even chicken pox proved deadly to American Indians. Europeans were used to these diseases, but Indian people had no resistance to them.

That's the answer. Enjoy.
