False. It must have a complete thought otherwise it is known as a sentence fragment "EXAMPLE" Complete sentence.
Me and my mom went to the grocery store and there was a homeless man that needed some money so we gave him five dollars.
"Sentence fragment".
We went to the store and gave him money.
