Hi!

First, we need to find the slope.

Here's the equation to find the slope.

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Put in the values and solve.

(3-7)/(3-(-3))

-(4)/(6)

Simplify

-(2)/(3)

Now our equation is

y=-(2)/(3)x+b

We need to find b. Do this by putting one of the coordinates into the equation then solving.

3=-(2)/(3)*3+b

3=-2-b

5=b

y=-(2)/(3)x+5

The answer is 3)
y=-(2)/(3)x+5

Hope this helps! :)

(-3, 7) and (3 , 3)

Slope = (7 - 3)/(-3 - 3) = -4/6 = -2/3

y = mx + b

b= y - mx

b = 3 - (-2/3)(3)

b = 3 + 2

b = 5

Equation

y = -2/3 x + 5

Answer

3) y = -2/3 x + 5
