We would expect insulin levels to be increasing.

Insulin is a hormone released the most when the blood glucose level gets too high. It helps convert glucose into glycogen and is stored in the liver. Insulin is produced by the pancreas. This mechanism is one of the examples of homeostasis, the process where the body maintains a constant internal condition. When the blood glucose level too high, insulin level is increased. When the blood glucose level is too low, another hormone called glucagon is released. Which has the exact opposite effect from insulin, turning glycogen back into glucose.

Therefore, if blood glucose level is too high, insulin level is increased.
