A ladder is leaning against a building and makes 28 degree angle with the ground.

The top of the ladder reaches 35 ft. Up on the building. What is the length of the ladder? Round to the nearest foot.

To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1- You have that the laddder makes an angle of
28 degrees with the ground and the top of the ladder reaches
35ft.

2- Therefore, you have:


Sin\alpha =(opposite)/(hypotenuse)

Where:


opposite=35\\ hypotenuse=length\\ \alpha =28degrees

3-You must substitute values and solve for the lenght, as following:


Sin(28)=(35)/(lenght) \\lenght=(35)/(Sin(28)) \\ lenght=75ft

Therefore, the answer is:
75ft
