a² + b² = c²

a² + 1.8² = 2.5²

a² = 2.5² -1.8²

a² = 3.01

a = √3.01 = 1.7m (nearest tenth)

Answer: The height of the tentpole is 1.7m tall.

cos (x) = 1.8/2.5

cos (x) = 0.72

x = cos⁻¹ (0.72)

x = 43.9° (nearest tenth)

Answer: The angle is 43.9°
