This is false, There are actually a lot types of plains, coastal plains, lowland plains, erosional plains, structional plain, and depositional plains. There is also many more.

As a recap, plains are a type of landform that is flat and are usually found at the bottom of valleys. The statement is false, because there are actually five types of plains. The five types are: glacial plain, flood plain, coastal plain, terrestrial plain and alluvial plain.
