What are the radio and micro waves in the electromagnetic spectrum? and what are the similarities and differences?

Microwaves and infrared rays are similar in that they both are forms of electromagnetic radiation. Both are transverse waves consisting of changing electric and magnetic fields. They both are invisible, carry energy from place to place and travel through vacuum and matter.
