Why might weathering occur more rapidly in Nepal than in Kansas?

Nepal has a lot of possible reasons that could affect weather.Like having a lot of mountains to be worn down unlike Kansas that just falls flat.

Plus the the main agents of weathering, heat/cold, water, and ice are all present in Nepal.
