What happened when Mexico could not pay its debt?

Banks reduced there debt but definitely panicked since billions of dollars weren’t going to be payed. Hope it helped ‍♂️

I have no idea, a guess I have is that maybe they had to print out more money which caused inflammation (I think that's the right word) where their money decreased in value.
