Is (4,2) a solution to the system y−x=2 and −3x−2y=−8?

Select one: a. Yes, because (4,2) is a solution to one equation. b. No, because (4,2) is a solution to only one equation. c. No, because (4,2) is a solution to neither equation. d. Yes, because (4,2) is a solution to both equations.

Yeah, It's C because the answer (4,2) doesn't work out in both equations

I think the answer is C because if you plug in the solution (4,2) in both the equation, none of the equation will be true. This will tell you that the solution is incorrect.
Hope this helped!
