From ax and a, if you want x alone, divided ax by a since (ax)/a = x.

Since ax = 5/(6b) and a = 2/(3b), then we divide 5/(6b) by 2/(3b) to find what x equals.

(ax)/(a) = ((5)/(6b))/((2)/(3b))

x = (5)/(6b) * (3b)/(2)

x = (5 * 3b)/(2 * 6b)

x = (15)/(12)

x = (5)/(4)

\cfrac{2}{3b} \cdot x = \cfrac{5}{6b} \\ \\ x=\cfrac{5}{6b} : \cfrac{2}{3b}=\cfrac{5}{6b} \cdot \cfrac{3b}{2}= \cfrac{5}{4}= 1.25

Answer: x = 1.25
